Classical Ballet

  • Classical Ballet is any of the traditional, formal styles of Ballet that exclusively employ Classical Ballet technique. It is known for its aesthetics and rigorous technique (such as pointe work, turnout of the legs, and high extensions), its flowing, precise movements, and its ethereal qualities. The strong focus on posture, strength, flexibility, alignment and pose filters directly into the other facets of dance.
  • Classical Ballet is extremely important to the dancers as all other styles depend on the fundamental knowledge taught in Ballet classes.
